Sutyorka község postahivatalában éli mindennapjait Tátiti Tibike, a világ utolsó táviratkihordója és arany okleveles távírásza, valamint barátja, Flambi Sanyi, a rövidlátó postás. A napjaik meglehetősen eseménytelenül telnek.
Nyugalmukat Regenyei Réka, a község hivatalos madárfelelőse szakítja meg, aki egyik napon döbbenten tapasztalja, hogy reggelre az összes madár eltűnt a környékről. A két barát azonnal Réka segítségére siet.
